Supporting our Community

Charity of the Year

In 2021 Elliotshill introduced our ‘Charity of the Year’ scheme, which enabled our staff to select their preferred charity to become our official ‘Charity of the Year’. Our chosen charity typically receives both financial and in-kind support from Elliotshill. This can be through through a financial donation, and in some circumstances provision of training such as Moving & Handling or First Aid, provided by our sister Company Catalyst Training.

We will work closely with our selected charity to raise awareness through joint fundraising initiatives and marketing activities.

How to apply

We operate a selection process before we finalise a charity to be our charity of the year.

The selection process is as follows:

  • The deadline for entry is 30th June each year.
  • In July we consider all applications. We reduce the nominees down to a final 3 and ask our staff to vote for their preferred charity.
  • In August we announce our selected charity.

What can I expect after the Selection Process?

After we have selected our chosen charity, it is our policy to meet with the charity for a ‘Cheque’ donation and to develop some marketing material in readiness for a press release/social media.

We will also discuss how we can work together to raise awareness and support our chosen charity.

The following organisations have been Elliotshill’s chosen ‘Charity of the Year’:

2021 – Get The Boys a Lift

GTBAL is a non-for-profit organisation that provides the people of West Wales with a free, award winning, mental health support service funded by coffee, clothing and community. Since they opened their doors in 2019, their drop-in service has proved over 250 people with free and easy support, free of waiting lists.

2021 – Paul Sartori

Paul Sartori Hospice at Home is a registered charity offering free specialised, supportive care and advice for those in the later stages of any life-limiting illness.

We provide a range of services in the patient’s home.

We aim to help those close to the patient during the illness and through the bereavement period.

The Hospice at Home service is available 365 days of the year and operates a 24/7 on-call service.
