    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cook who has a passion for cooking homely meals and enjoys working as part of a lively team.

    About the Role:

     An experienced cook is required to work 25 hours per week in our residential home preparing/ cooking meals and baking for approximately 25 people. The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain good relationships with our staff and residents. Our residents are often involved in planning their own meals and enjoy being taught how to cook and bake.

    Duties

    • Managing a budget efficiently.
    • Planning a varied menu to meet the needs of all of our residents.
    • Maintaining hygiene standards.
    • Delegating some preparation tasks to support workers for the cooking of meals, and monitoring/ordering to ensure efficient operation.
    • Meeting with sales representatives in order to negotiate prices and order supplies
    • Checking quantities of received products.
    • Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
    • Being able to support staff in the care home in the achievement of the highest possible standards, the minimisation of waste and the promotion of economic and cost effective budgeting.
    • Assisting residents to prepare food.

    Support Worker - Supported Living

    We are looking to recruit flexible and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Workers to work in our supported housing settings in Pembrokeshire. The role of Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

    Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to see things from the point of view of the people we support. In order to respond to their preferences and support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleepovers and waking nights.

    What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay: £22,840.00 - £23,367.00 pro rata (Example based on an average contract of 37.5 hours including 2 sleep overs per week);
