  • Support Worker - Residential Care Home

    Support Worker – Residential Care Home

    Elliots Hill Residential Home is a 19 bed residential facility that provides care to adults with mental health and physical disabilities.

    We currently have vacancies for flexible and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Workers to work in our Residential Care Home setting.

    The role of Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

    Support Workers will be required to;

    • Take responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents;
    • Promote their independence and maintain high levels of dignity and respect;
    • Assisting with Personal Care, including skin care, bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting (including management of bladder & bowels), dressing, hair care, stoma care.
    • Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group;
    • Maintain accurate records of all care provided.
    • Enabling mobility, including Moving & Handling transfers, pushing wheelchair, checking of specialist equipment e.g. wheelchair seat cushion, driving of clients vehicle, as directed.
    • Dietetics, including assistance with menu planning, preparing, serving and storing of foods.
    • Assist with medications as prescribed by medical practitioner.
    • Dealing with correspondence and financial matters as requested such as daily finance records.
    • Day to day household tasks e.g. changing beds, laundry, ironing, shopping.
    • Respect for client confidentiality and discretion at all times.
    • Reporting & Recording as per company procedure.
    • Commitment to fulfilling on going personal development by completing all mandatory in-house training and Diploma Level 2 in Adult Health & Social Care.
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times as per employee handbook.

    Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to be committed and enthusiastic in delivering excellent support to individuals in a fast paced environment.

    In order to respond to their preferences and support needs, you will need to be flexible in your approach and have the ability to work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays and you may occasionally be required to work waking nights.

    What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay: £16,009.00 - £16,536.00 pro rata based on a 37.5 hour contract dependant on experience and passing the 6 month probationary period;

    • Rolling rotas.

  • Domestic Assistant - Residential Care Home

    Domestic Assistant

    Elliots Hill are looking to recruit a part time (16.5 hours per week) domestic assistant to work as part of the team in our Residential Care Home in Haverfordwest. The hours will primarily be worked on weekends with some hours during the week.

    The role of domestic assistant is primarily to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our residents' home but also it involves interaction with the Residents as and when needed.

    Tasks

    • To undertake all domestic cleaning as per cleaning schedule
    • To support and work with vulnerable adults to maintain their own and communal living space
    • To support and work with vulnerable adults in a respectful and professional manner as directed by the Managers – duties may include;
    • Walking/exercise support, talk time, supported kitchen duties
    • To work with the team to ensure that the well-being outcomes for the vulnerable adults are always at the forefront of everything whilst maintaining the environment

    This role would suit a kind natured, hard working, energetic character who isn't afraid to get stuck into their work. You will need to be observant and thorough, whilst being physically capable of carrying out such duties in an efficient and discrete manner.

    Experience of a similar role and an understanding of health and safety regulations would be advantageous, however not essential as full training will be provided to the right candidate.

    We are looking to recruit flexible and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Workers to work in our supported housing settings in Pembrokeshire. The role of Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

    Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to see things from the point of view of the people we support. In order to respond to their preferences and support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleepovers and waking nights.

    What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay: £22,840.00 - £23,367.00 pro rata (Example based on an average contract of 37.5 hours including 2 sleep overs per week);
    • An excellent training package;
    • 28 days annual leave per year based on a full time contract;

    Elliots Hill Residential Home is a 19 bed residential facility that provides care to adults with mental health and physical disabilities. We currently have a vacancy for a flexible and motivated part-time (20 hours per week - 2 x 10 hour shifts - 10 pm until 8 am) Waking Nights Support Worker to work in our Residential Care Home setting.

    The role of Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

    Support Workers will be required to;

    • Take responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents;
